Pergola Fabrication with Salvaged Steel Windows

Custom Pergola Fabrication · New York, NY

Before Pergola Fabrication with Salvaged Steel Windows — Before
After Pergola Fabrication with Salvaged Steel Windows — After

This custom pergola was fabricated using salvaged steel windows, creating a distinctive outdoor structure that combines architectural heritage with contemporary garden design. The project required engineering a structurally sound framework that showcases the salvaged windows as both functional glazing and decorative elements.

Our fabricators designed and built the pergola’s steel framework to accommodate the specific dimensions and weight of each salvaged window panel. The windows were restored — including frame repair, hardware refurbishment, and reglazing — before being integrated into the new structure. The contrast between weathered industrial windows and clean new steelwork creates a compelling visual dialogue.

The completed pergola stands as a unique architectural feature that gives new purpose to salvaged materials while creating a beautiful, light-filled outdoor living space. This fabrication project exemplifies our ability to merge preservation instincts with creative design thinking.
