Original or Custom Finishes
We match original finishes or create custom finishes to your specification. The Chinese Cinnabar Parcel Gilt and Lacquered Desk restoration demonstrates the dramatic transformation possible with expert gilding and lacquer conservation.

Compounded & Piano Finishes
A piano finish is the gold standard — catalysed polyurethane, super-fine sanded and compounded to a mirror-like surface. We applied this technique to the Marc Newson Black Hole Table for Friedman Benda gallery and to a Maison Janson sideboard with bronze and mother of pearl inlays.
Any finish can be compounded. A piano finish looks like a piano finish — super smooth and glossy. The glossy spray finish has a less smooth finish, but is highly glossy.
