This Morris-style reclining chair arrived at our workshop in need of complete re-upholstery and wood refinishing. The original leather had cracked and dried beyond repair, and the oak frame finish was worn and uneven.

Our team stripped and refinished the oak frame using period-appropriate stains and hand-rubbed oil finish, restoring the warm Arts and Crafts aesthetic. New premium leather was cut, fitted and installed, with careful attention to the reclining mechanism and cushion support.

The Morris chair — a cornerstone of American furniture design — was returned to the client in pristine condition, ready for another century of comfortable use.
