Art Deco Leather Armchair — Reupholstery & Distressed Finish

This Art Deco leather armchair was brought to our studio for a complete rebuild and reupholstery with a custom distressed leather finish. The client desired a restoration that would honour the chair’s vintage character while providing the durability of new materials throughout.

Our craftsmen rebuilt the internal structure from the frame outward, installing new springs, webbing, and multi-layer padding to restore the chair’s original comfort and silhouette. The Art Deco form’s distinctive lines — the swept arms and geometric proportions — were carefully maintained throughout the reconstruction.

The chair was upholstered in premium leather that was then hand-distressed to achieve a naturally aged appearance. This artisan finishing process creates the patina and character of vintage leather while delivering the strength and longevity of new hide. The result is an Art Deco armchair with authentic period presence and decades of use ahead.
